After 88 games with the Canucks, Jeff Cowan was placed on waivers and cleared.
Instead of being assigned to the Canucks’ AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, he was sent to another American League team, the Peoria Riverman as the Moose had already met their five NHL veteran quota.
