His rookie season - 1980-81 - he played in six playoff games for Minnesota. I guess that you could call it a Stanley Cup series.
He was 0-8 his last two seasons for Toronto and before that was 6-23 for Ottawa. I don't know that he lost the final 19 games with Ottawa, however.

Maybe he did lose 27 straight, as hockeyDB shows him going 5-35 his last year as a pro -- http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=24549

Thanks for your email.
My first answer would have been Joe "Red Light" Miller who played 3 games when the Rangers won the 1928 Stanley Cup and he lost 35 games in 1929-3 when he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates. But he also won 5 games that season and went 2 and 9 when they became the Philadelphia Quakers, so it wasn't him.
Will be someone from the NHL's early years, unless it's Patrick Roy who lost 27 fights.

Ron...I've got a trivia question for you that I need help with:

What goalie who once appeared as a rookie in a Stanley Cup series lost the final 27 decisions of his NHL career?
