Christian Ehrhoff leads the nucks with a +9 in 21 games. He has 12 points, which helps to pull up his average.

Alexander Edler and Steve Bernier also lead the nucks with a -5. Each has 10 points (These nucks’ stats were skewered upwards after the lopsided win over Colorado.).

1. Who has the NHL’s best +/- this season? He was a teammate of Ehrhoff’s.

2. Which current NHL player has the best career +/-?

3. Which retired player had the best +/- for one season?

4. Which retired player had the best career +/-?

1. Philly’s Matt Carle is a +15, but only has 12 points in 15 games.

3. Bobby Orr had a +124  during the 1970-71 season. He finished the year with 37 goals and 102 assists (Larry Robinson had a 120 +/- during the 1976-77 season.).

4. Larry Robinson retired with a +730. He played in 20 NHL seasons and totalled 958 points.

Ron…I’ve got a trivia question for you that I need help with:

What goalie who once appeared as a rookie in a Stanley Cup series lost the final 27 decisions of his NHL career?

    Thanks for your email.
My first answer would have been Joe “Red Light” Miller who played 3 games when the Rangers won the 1928 Stanley Cup and he lost 35 games in 1929-3 when he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates. But he also won 5 games that season and went 2 and 9 when they became the Philadelphia Quakers, so it wasn’t him.
Will be someone from the NHL’s early years, unless it’s Patrick Roy who lost 27 fights.

Maybe he did lose 27 straight, as hockeyDB shows him going 5-35 his last year as a pro — http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=24549

    It was Don Beaupre.

His rookie season – 1980-81 – he played in six playoff games for Minnesota. I guess that you could call it a Stanley Cup series.
He was 0-8 his last two seasons for Toronto and before that was 6-23 for Ottawa. I don’t know that he lost the final 19 games with Ottawa, however.
