I was surprised at the 1.5 million. I thought that he’d have to be pretty close to league minimum…and then the fans would at least get their money’s worth. Nothing personal here, but watching Bert float around the periphery, both defensively and offensively for the last six years (since just before he inked his last big Vancouver contract) I just don’t understand this signing. He doesn’t score much, hardly ever hits and doesn’t seem interested in competing most nights. Wing fans will be in full revolt by December.
