DENMARK’S STANLEY CUP FAVOURITE

June 13th, 2009 · No Comments

Radio Station 105.9 FM “The X” (WXDX-FM), in Pittsburgh, has a question and answer segment between the 2nd and 3rd periods.

They received a call from Denmark, telling Mike Lange and Phil Bourque that a father and son were staying up late, drinking coffees, and pulling for Pittsburgh to win the Stanley Cup.

One reason for their support? “Detroit is a team of Swedes!”

I was wondering what these Danes think of the Canucks?

Five Swedes and one Dane – Jannik Hansen.

They probably like the Islanders better, who also have a Dane -Frans Nielsen.

The Isles are mostly Canadians and Americans, with one Finn, one Czech, one Swiss and a South Korean – but no Swedes.
