“Nobody said anything,” Marian Hossa said. “I shook their hands, I congratulated them and that was it.”

He was talking about the longest walk/skate that he’s ever had to make.

The Pens were probably smiling to themselves – like when your ex-wife sees you with a woman who’s better looking than she is.

They had also shared a joke with the Pens’ media the day before.

“You can’t spell Hossa without an ‘o’,” was the quip.

They were referring, of course, to the number of goals that Hossa has scored in Detroit’s series against Pittsburgh.

“The handshake line was pretty good,” Brooks Orpik said. “I didn’t have to say anything to anyone, not even that one guy. Just winning it and seeing it on their face was enough.”
