by John Walton – Hershey’s play-by-play announcer
“You have to give a lot of credit to Manitoba in Game 2. For 26 minutes, it really looked like Hershey could pull away at any moment. Scoring the first goal, taking a lead into the second period, all the momentum was on the visiting side of the ledger, and the Moose were on the ropes. But they battled back and showed why they’re in this series. Jason Jaffray’s performance was nearly as good as Alexandre Giroux’s in Game 1. I’d love to think Hershey could win the next three at home and finish this thing, but the realistic part of me says this series goes back to Winnipeg for at least a Game 6. These teams are too good for one to dominate and win three straight. I’d love to be wrong about that if the Bears were able to do it and make it a five-game series, but with the Moose winning the way they did in Game 2, the smart money still says long series in six or seven.
