Just a quickie here: Sundin and Salo are out. Hansen and Vananen draw in. Hurts a bit because Salo has certainly been a our best D man. Mats is still Mats, especially on the power play. But here’s what I really wanted to say about Game Four:
Roberto Luongo. I know, it seems a bit obvious doesn’t it? But, in my humble opinion, we haven’t seen the best of Roberto yet. Not because he isn’t playing well. He’s been his usual ordinary superstar self. But he hasn’t been playing all-universe because he hasn’t had to. Our team effort has been that good. But every Canuck fan knows, Roberto is capable of stealing a game. We have seen that…yet.
Tonight, we’ll be facing a Blues team that has one thing and only one thing on their mind…to not be victims of the sweep.
As for our guys, they are hiding the brooms. They are saying all the right things and paying all the respect in the world to the Blues. Who, I repeat, do not want to be victims of a sweep. And if the last three months taught us anything about the Blues, there is no quit in them. I know Andy Murray really should be on medication, but face it, he’s a fine coach. His guys will be prepared tonight.
This should be a war.
