If this article spent more time discussing how tried and true our fanbase is, they might realize that Philly fans are the BEST fans in American sports. Our level of loyalty is unsurpassed. And yes, we're a little over the top with the violence. But guess what: Rangers fans, Redskins fans, Cowboys fans, Giants fans, Penguins fans and Canadians ALL deserve it. Seriously, I've seen it a hundred times. The ones who get beat up show up to a game and are dumb enough to actually reply to the constant boos (which are semi-sarcastic by the way, much of the time we're joking, remember we're the city of BROTHERLY love, we're gonna be annoying brothers) in some misguided attempt at upholding their honor, and then they say the wrong things to the most intense fans in the USA, and well, guess what happens?? Oh and by the way, we didn't really boo the Easter bunny, most of us were kidding, and Santa deserved it. Please note, that we take great pride in that. The governor of PA (Rendell) was at that game and (according to legend) hit Santa with a snowball himself. This got him elected. In short, the author is clearly just terrified of us, as you all should be. Fly, Eagles, Fly. Go Flyers. I have visited Philadelphia twice and find it a very friendly city. People actually look you in the eye on the streets in Philly, versus New York City. And I am very happy for the Phillies. I have enjoyed doing my research on Shibe Park and love the pictures of the fans watching the games from the townhouses. I enjoy looking at your site a couple of times a week to see how the Flyers are doing. Good win tonight. I know how good the Philadelphia fans are.
