There are two main things to note from this list of NBA – middle of the financial pack – players.
First, top NBA picks are paid in this range and are thus on this list (Contrast this with Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin who will be receiving $984,000 for his third NHL season.).
Second, some of these players have good game, but a number are only good on the offense, and others are only good on the D.
This is similar to the NHL’s middle of the financial pack players.

O.J. Mayo was picked 3rd overall in the 2008 NBA draft.
| Al Hordford was drafted 3rd in the 2007 NBA draft. |
Jorge Garbajosa was injured and eventually bought out by the Raptors.
A first overall pick – selected straight out of high school – Brown is inconsistent, foul prone, can leap, but doesn’t have the best hands.
Delonte West was ranked the 28th best NBA point guard by one Yahoo! Sports evaluator. He wasn’t ranked in the Top 30 by the other two on the panel, however.
Marcus Banks is a very good defender, but is turnover prone and doesn’t always make the best decisions.
Adam Morrison was selected 3rd overall in the 2006 NBA draft. Good offensive player who doesn’t play much D.
