I’ve interviewed a number of the Islanders from the ’80s dynasty teams.
One question I’ve askedĀ each of them: “Was there one trade that made the difference – that was instrumental in creating the Islanders’ dynasty?
The standard answer was: Butch Goring, who came over from the Kings.
So, the question is: Who were the players who were dispatched to L.A., on March 10, 1980?
Billy Harris and Dave Lewis.
